Hold your breath

Welcome I am involved in an accident, a destined collision with - an incident, an object, another being, an observation, an interaction. A housefly trapped inside the kitchen, a love affair and a bear costume, a pair of boxing gloves and a butterfly. In the dislocated space and time between crash and recuperation, a moment unfolds where I seem to lose part of my recognisable surface self, encountering something/someone stranger, and more deeply familiar.

Through this realm, different worlds, perceptions and realities converge, intersect and embrace in motion. The body becomes an interface, in this colliding, unfolding embrace, between sites of everyday existence and flights of fantasy. Between the fluctuations of choreographed movement and the specificity of improvisation - a shape shifting obstacle course appears. Through this terrain, each performance navigates its' way towards a transformative destination - about the nature of identity, sexuality and love; the human, the animal, fear, desire and fantasy. Though personal experience is the source for these performances, they seek out the universal, the mutual, and the possibility for an imaginative experience, unique to each person within the audience.
